I have been dealing with Ted Mansell regarding my 2010 Equinox and it's very high oil consumption. I had bought the vehicle new at another Boucher dealer and have been having oil consumption problems since day one. I told this to the initial service manager and my salesperson at the other dealer and the service manager told me that it was normal. I said I own a 2000 Honda Accord with 130,000 miles on it and it does not use any oil, even after 5,000 mi. between oil changes. I said it is not normal. After 2 more attempts to convince them I gave up and took the car to my local mechanic to get his take. He agreed that it should not be using any oil. I went to the auto show and spoke with Diane at Boucher of Waukesha and she agreed that it was not normal also. She told me to bring in the Equinox and talk to Ted Mansell. I did just that and was very pleased with Ted and the service I have received through the service dept. I had to come back several times so they could track the oil usage and they found that is was consuming too much oil between oil changes and corrected the problem by installing a new engine block. I was thrilled that this issue was being addressed with professionalism and under warranty as it should have been through the other Boucher dealer, but was not. Ted showed how a service department should be run. Caring about his customers and listening and helping in every way he could, exceeding my expectations in every way. I brought my brand new Camaro in Re: a front end clunk(very quiet). Your mechanic thought it was gasoline sloshing in the tank--but after I filled up, the noise was still there. I realized the only thing I had done in the two days I'd had the car was to adjust the steering wheel for closeness and angle. I put it back where it was and suddenly the clunk was gone! On May 6th I took my 2012 Malibu LT to Boucher Chevrolet, the place I had purchsed it, to have an oil change. The service rep (Steve I think) discovered that the prepaid plan I have was not up to date, so he removed the coupons from my book and checked with the administrators of the plan to make sure that the PEP Brothers in Louisiana had regestred the oil change they did on my car. He got all of that taken care of and discovered that the requested tire rotation had not been done. The oil change and tire rotation were all done and I was back on my way in 1 hour. 2011 Cruze, GM Warranty: "Service engine soon" light came on shortly after re-fueling. I checked for an improperly tightened gas cap, re-capped, and drove to dealership late in the day. Returned next AM with scheduled appointment, made use of the excellent shuttle service, and was soon called with the diagnosis: gasket failure within the gas cap itself.
